Merit Assistantship Programme
Top-performing students get selected to work alongside PMIT faculty and researchers — teaching, mentoring and contributing to real research — while earning a monthly stipend.
Selected on merit, placed where you're strongest
Based on academic performance, PMAT scores and faculty recommendation, shortlisted students are placed into one of two assistantship tracks each semester.
Assistantship seats are limited and reviewed every semester, so continued performance matters as much as the initial selection.
Teaching Assistantship
Assist faculty in delivering classes, running lab/tutorial sessions, grading assignments and mentoring junior students in your area of strength.
Research Internship
Work directly on ongoing projects within PMIT's Research & Innovation zones — from data collection and experiments to documentation and publication support.
- Open to current PMIT students in good academic standing
- Selection based on merit — academic record, PMAT performance and faculty recommendation
- Placement into Teaching Assistantship or Research Internship, based on aptitude and department need
- Reviewed each semester — performance determines continuation
₹3,000 – ₹5,000 per month
Paid monthly for the duration of the assistantship, based on track, workload and department.
